ARRIVAL (2016)

Me, before game-audio...

Influenced by Golden Globe winnning composer Johann Johannson (R.I.P.) and Oscar winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, who both shared a studio with me for four years, my sound-design philosophy centers around the importance of human touch, minimalism and deep audio gear knowledge.

I use my experience to make games sound like a cinematic experience. Warm, rich, high-end.

What I learned.

ARRIVAL

If you are involved in high budget projects, things change fast and a lot of work is for the trash. I learned to stay patient while quickly creating sounds under heavy pressure in exceptional quality. It was also great to communicate with a true genius who rarely talks and expects nailed deliveries on vague briefings.

Work examples?

I delivered custom made sounds from my modular synthesizer and built a sound library that was used in further fx processing. You can also hear a couple of synth layers in the musical score but it is honestly quite hard to point out, due to the many people involved. The best thing one could say about my involvement in this project is, that the job was given to me because Johann searched for a certain quality that I had to offer.

P.S. They spelled my name wrong and I am not an actor......

I sleep from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
