During my time as on-site freelancer at Ubisoft, I got the chance to create and implement audio assets for this German Game Awards winning AAA title. The process itself was straightforward. Implementing in Wwise, creating assets in Nuendo. I mainly built environment sounds. The challenge was, to deliver game ready sounds within the first weeks of my contract, with the request from the Lead Audio-Designer to not cause iterations.
Before working at Ubisoft, I had no idea what a repository was or how to create an advanced spreadsheet for planning. I also learned about project management methodologies and started to use all those tools in my dayjobs with great success.
How a AAA game studio operates in terms of collaboration, project management and feedback was essential to my professional experience.
As a freelancer I offer this pipeline to my customers to make remote collaboration a simple matter.
